Miguel Carcaño, condenado a 21 años y tres meses de cárcel por el asesinato de Marta del Castillo, no posee ningún patrimonio ni hay constancia de que perciba ingresos, según una investigación ordenada por la Audiencia Provincial de Sevilla. Esta indagación se realiza para comprobar si tiene capital suficiente para abonar una cuantía mayor de los 20 euros al mes a los que se ha comprometido el asesino confeso de Marta, con el objeto de hacer frente a su obligación de pagar una indemnización a la familia de la joven. Recordamos que la representación legal de la familia de Marta del Castillo, presentó un escrito en el que se opone a que Miguel Carcaño ejecute el pago simbólico de 20 euros al mes para que esta circunstancia redunde en la consecución de permisos penitenciarios.
